Our Donors
The Society extends its sincere appreciation to all those who generously contribute to the Air Force Aid Society through the Annual Air Force Assistance Fund Drive (AFAF), Armed Forces Relief Trust (www.afrtrust.org), the Air Force Charity Ball or through various forms of individual donations.
Featured Donor Spotlight!
When TSgt Alexander Saucedo's grandfather passed away, he received AFAS assistance so he could travel to the funeral. Sgt Saucedo's fellow Airmen in the 710 COS at Langley AFB wanted to send flowers to the funeral, but Sgt Saucedo asked them to instead make a donation to the Air Force Aid Society to show his appreciation for the assistance he received. We are very grateful to Sgt Saucedo for giving back to the Society and to the Airmen of the 710 COS for their generous donation. We also want to thank he 710 COS Commander
Col Hector Cruz for taking the time to hand deliver the check for $232 to Peter Lamberti at the Langley Airman & Family Readiness Center.
The Air Force Aid Society is very grateful to Colonel (USAF, Ret) James Chris Miller and Shirley Ann Miller for including the
AFAS Education Grant Fund in their Charitable Remainder Trust.
Following a distinguished career in the Air Force, Col Miller retired, married his high school sweetheart Shirley, and together they became part owners in various businesses. The Millers believe very strongly that education is essential to success and have invested millions in Charitable Remainder Trusts to fund scholarships for the orphans of military men and women killed in action. These trusts will continue to grow in perpetuity and support education awards like the Arnold Education Grant and others for children of deceased military members.
Since 2007, the Millers have generously funded eleven “Miller Awards” under the Arnold Education Grant Program which were awarded to children of deceased Air Force members.
Association of Military Banks of America
Thanks to the Association of Military Banks of America for their very generous $25,000 donation to AFAS! It was especially thoughtful
of AFBA President MGen (USAF, Ret) Andy Egeland to personally deliver the check.

The Late Show with David Letterman

During Air Force Week 2012, ten Air Force members appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and were featured in a "Top Ten" segment. Following the show, the staff chose to make a donation to AFAS to show their appreciation to the men and women of the U.S. Air Force. We are grateful for their generous support!
