The Air Force Assistance Fund - Annual Campaign

The Air Force Aid Society is an affiliate of the Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF). The Annual AFAF Campaign, which is run within the Air Force, includes solicitation on behalf of the Society. This annual campaign is the primary source of donations to the Society and supports the "Airmen helping Airmen" philosophy on which the Society was founded. This year the campaign raised approximately $7.1 million for the Air Force Aid Society, the Air Force Enlisted Village, The Air Force Village, and the General & Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.

Direct Contributions by Individuals

Contributions are accepted directly from individuals, clubs and organizations, military and civilian. The Society has partnered with VANCO services to increase the options available for giving. Donors will now have the ability to make one time and recurring donations online through our secured payment website. Donors also have the ability to make donations directly from their bank accounts using ACH transfer functionality. Your financial contributions to the Air Force Aid Society are fully tax deductible under Section 170(b)(1)(a) of the IRS Code. The Society is exempt from Federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code.

General Donation: Donations made in support of all Air Force members (including activated Air Reserve and Air National Guard members) and their families, worldwide. All funds are distributed to members and their families based on consistently applied needs guidelines and individual circumstances.

Education Fund:

• Undesignated Donations will be deposited in the Air Force Aid Society Education Fund and will be used to support the Society's Gen H.H. Arnold Education Grant Program and the George S. Brown Spouse Tuition Assistance Program.



• Designated Donations. Every Arnold Grant that is awarded carries the name of an individual or organization exemplifying service to the Air Force. There are several ways donations can be made to the Air Force Aid Society's Education Grant Program. You may donate to one of the existing named awards, create a new named award in perpetuity, or fund a one-time award.

Memorial/In Honor of Donation: Donations of $25 or more made in memory of a deceased relative or friend who has served in the Air Force, or in honor of an individual or group.

Bequests/Estate Planning: Some of our most generous contributions have been in the form of bequests. Consider leaving a legacy by naming "Air Force Aid Society, Inc." as a beneficiary in your will or trust.

Corporate Matching Gifts - Double Your Donation!

A growing number of companies offer corporate matching gift programs where they match charitable gift donations made by their employees. If the company you work for (or retired from) has a corporate matching gift program, you can double the value of your contribution to the Air Force Aid Society! It's easy to do. Simply contact your Human Resources Department and ask if your company offers a charitable matching gift program. If so, complete a Matching Gift Form and include the form with your donation to the Air Force Aid Society.

Matching gifts are a wonderful way to increase donations to the Society. If your company does not offer a matching gift program, please ask them to consider starting one.
