Who's Who
Lt Gen John D. Hopper, Jr., (USAF) became the Chief Executive Officer of the Air
Force Aid Society on April 20, 2005. Gen Hopper joined the Air Force Aid Society
after a distinguished 35+ year career in the United States Air Force. His last
assignment was Vice Commander, Air Education and Training Command at Randolph AFB,
Texas.
Dr. Mick McKeown has had a varied career in medicine, Air Force military service,
and congressional affairs. He earned his doctorate in dental medicine (DMD) from
the University of Oregon Dental School. He holds a BA in Business Administration
from the University of Washington, a BS in Math-Science from the University of
Oregon and is a 1979 National War College graduate. He retired from the Air Force
after serving as the senior military officer in the DOD Office of Legislative Affairs.
He is currently Vice President, Washington Operations for Triumph Group, Inc. and
has been the primary liaison in Washington, D.C. since January 2001.
